3:00 to 7:30 PM The American Red Cross will hold a blood drive at Spring Mountain Community Center (upper level) on Friday, October 7 from 3 pm until 7:30 pm. Reservations may be made by calling Brenna Paxton at (828) 273-7192, "We’ve got a treat for donors this month to help fill the last spots on your schedule: When donors come to give in October they’ll get a $5 e-gift card to a merchant of their choice. They can enjoy some buttery popcorn or a refreshing drink with their next movie screening on us." Blood donations help millions of patients in need. To make the journey from “arm to arm,” every unit goes through a series of steps and tests to ensure that it is as safe as can be. All human blood may look alike, but you can’t donate to just anyone and you can’t receive blood from just anyone. Different blood types need to be matched correctly. |
