Spring Mountain Community Playground Project:  Building a Place for Everyone

The Spring Mountain Community Playground has long been a special gathering place for families—a tradition we want to continue for generations to come.

Spring Mountain Community Center is fully funded by donations, and like many community spaces, our park requires ongoing maintenance and improvements. In September 2024, Hurricane Helene caused significant damage to our beloved park and playground, leaving it unsafe and in need of a complete rebuild.

After months of cleaning, stabilizing the site, gathering community input, and developing a new design, the vision for a new Spring Mountain Community Playground is becoming a reality!

Thanks to the incredible ideas and support of hundreds of residents, families, and neighbors, we have completed the design for a nature-inspired, accessible playground that will provide fun and engaging play opportunities for children of all ages while preserving the natural beauty of Spring Mountain Community Park.

Construction is planned to begin this fall, and we’re excited to watch this long-awaited community project come to life!
