The new Spring Mountain Community Playground is becoming a reality! Thanks to the incredible support and ideas from hundreds of residents, families, and neighbors, the playground design is complete and construction is planned to begin this fall.

From Destruction to a New Beginning

In September 2024, Hurricane Helene caused significant damage to our beloved playground, leaving it unsafe and in need of a complete rebuild. Spring Mountain Community Center is fully funded by donations, so rebuilding this important community space has been a true community effort.

After months of cleaning and stabilizing the site, gathering community input, and developing a new design, we’re excited to move into the construction phase. What began as a response to devastating storm damage has become an opportunity to create an even better playground—one that is safer, more resilient, accessible, and built to serve our community for generations.
