This time of year we get LOTS of calls from families wanting their kids to join 4-H. Our only problem is we have LOTS of youth wanting to join but not enough 4-H clubs to accommodate everyone. If you have ever thought about starting a 4-H club in your community….WE NEED YOU!! 4-H Clubs are the HEART of our program!
The greatest impact and benefit for both our young people and community comes from active 4-H clubs which are led by volunteers who share their hearts, passion for helping, and knowledge. This event is an opportunity for you to learn the basics about what’s involved in starting and running a 4-H club in addition to a Q&A time where we can answer all your questions.
Our hope is that you will be inspired and enthusiastic about taking the next step to start your own club in Buncombe County so we can reach many more youth through our club program. The “4-H Clubs Q&A” program will take place on Zoom on Thursday, September 29th. We will offer the session at 10:00 a.m. AND 6:00 p.m. to accommodate a variety of schedules. Pick which time works best for your schedule or attend both…it’s up to you.
The session is expected to last an hour, but we can stay connected longer to ensure we answer everyone’s questions.
